Johannes
Rudolph and Unkown Wife
Johannes Rudolph was born in
Germany. His parents are unkown at this time. He married, but at this
time is wife is unknown. Johannes Rudolph is estimated to have between 1819 and 1832 most
likely in Pennsylvania.
Johannes
Rudolph is first
found in the land records of WestmorelandCounty Pennsylvania in 1774
when 100
acres was surveyed in his name. AJohannes Rudolph signed a deposition
for Jacob
Rudolph in 1819. In1832 when Jacob filed for his Revolutionary War
service he
stated thatJohn Rudolph had since died. Since Jacob's brother John did
not
dieuntil 1848, it is most likely that the John Rudolph in the 1744
landrecords,
and the John Rudolph who signed the 1819 deposition was thefather of
John and
Jacob.
JOHN GEORGE
RUDOLPH-2 (Johannes Rudolph-1). He
was born Abt. 1760 in Germany. Tax roll 1786 in West Hempfield,
Westmoreland
County, Pennsylvania [2]. Census 1790 1790 in Franklin Township,
Westmoreland
County, Pennsylvania. He died Abt. 1848 in Westmoreland County,
Pennsylvania.

MEYERS is the daughter of Balthazar
Meyers & Mrs. Christine Meyers. She died Bef. Apr 1832 in

is entered on the
roll of a company of Militia commanded by Capt. David Boyle of the
138th
Regiment commanded by Lt. Col. Robert Miller, under Major General Mead
from
Jan. 12 to Feb. 22, 1814. His pay was was
$15.40. He was paid
$9.90
for service from Feb. 23 to Mar. 21, 1814.
The exact date of Jacob's death is unknown, but the
Letters of
Administration on his estate were filed July 7, 1843 in Jefferson
County,
PA. His son Abraham was appointed
Executor of his estate. In September 1844 Abraham Rudolph petitioned
the Court
for permission to sell Jacob's land in Young Township for payment of
his
debts. This land is described as
"170 and 3/4 acres in Lot of Tract 65 of Holland Lands with about 40
acres
cleared with a house and barns". Permission
was subsequently granted to sell 1/2 the
lot, to exclude the
house. However, no buyer was found and in November, 1845 Abraham was
allowed to
sell the entire portion. Children

enlarged heart, chronic diarrhea, and cancer on the neck when he
applied for
his pension on Oct 25, 1895. He stated
that he first noticed the symptoms on a raid from Huntsville into
Mississippi. He is described as 5'
5", weight 152 on June 13, 1888, and weight 135 on Aug. 27, 1890. 7-Daniel RUDOLPH, b. 18 Jan 1829; d. abt
